Slow Computer - Causes and Solutions!

Do you remember your first brand new laptop or desktop? Do you remember how everything worked well, programs opened up instantly and there were no glitches? Well my friend that was several years ago and like anything, computers need maintenance as well. Often times, i come across system that have not been touched or maintained for close to a decade, dust (which is an overheating issue), bloatware programs that slow down the PC dramatically, OS issues and glitches that appear after a long use are all contributing factors to a slow down of a system, but the number one reason for the major slow down in your system is:

Hard drive.

Over time hard drives tend to become slow, bogged down by a combination of hardware wear and the operating system bugs, glitches or software (with antivirus systems being the biggest consumers of power), all those things can contribute to an eventual kaput. The hard drive failure rate tends to increase exponentially after about 4 years of use (80% of hard drives only last 4 years), specific reasons are really hard to pinpoint as the use varied from user to user, but one thing for sure is that eventually they all do fail, or end up running so slow, there is no real point on keeping them. For everyone who has been running a disk drive, there is a solution to this problem:

SSD - also known as the solid state drive.

No matter what the age of the PC is, if the rest of the components are still operational, the speed of PC can be dramatically increased just with that upgrade alone. As the regular disk drives are getting phased out, this technology will really help businesses and home owners to speed up their PC. The upgrade would apply to a vast majority of speed issues (not all, but most) and a brand new operating system would eradicate any previous glitches or bloatware installed (you can also choose to mirror the hard drive to keep all everything you had, as is, however that will also mean any previous glitches would also be copied over). No matter what your choice is, please also do keep in mind, data recovery is a very expensive process that will never guarantee the data recovered, if you do have an older computer or hard drive, with valuable data, please back it up. A $100 hard drive will go a long way against $1000 + data recovery that does not promise anything.

A simple upgrade can go a long way to save your time in home or office environment, in a business environment, a lot of time can be saved by having programs run properly and promptly, saving time on start up, copying files and general use of the computer and for home users, the general frustration of attempting to open files or even start up your PC can drive one mad.

If you do require such upgrade, feel free to book me or ask any questions you have, would be more then happy to answer them.
